Justification = saved.

The Bible teaches we were justified from eternity; and we were saved from eternity (II Timothy 1:9)........were were justified at the cross; and we were saved at the cross (Matthew 1:21)........we were justified at regeneration; and we were saved at regeneration (Romans 10:9)......we are justified at the second resurrection: in Romans 8:23 it is called: "the redemption of our body".

Redemption here means something converted, ransomed, salvation, atonement, deliverance. See also Hebrews 9:28.

We are saved at the second resurrection also - In Romans 13:11 we read:
"for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed".

Salvation here means salvation; the act of saving (a process).

If salvation/justification were complete at regeneration/conversion, this verse would not be in the Bible.

We were justified, saved at regeneration and conversion; but there is more: the redemption, salvation (justification) of our body. Justification is not bound by time.

The Bible teaches justification is eternal.

God says: "work out your own salvation (justification) with fear and trembling" (Philippians 2:12).

God says: "take the helmet of salvation (justification)" (I Thessalonians 5:8): a process; a continual act.

Justification spans eternity and is a continual state - existence before God: it is not a one time act at one point in time.

Not to strive over words, but is the bible calling the redemption of our body to be “justification”?

I am not sure we can make ’salvation’ and the glorification of the elect’s body (which surely will take place) and call it “justification”.

This is just a thought, but I would like some references to know that it is called “justification” in the bible.

My understanding (limited) is that Justification is the declaration of God that His people are righteous, and Glorification is fruit of this justification, but is NOT justification itself.

Am I wrong?

I also enjoyed the message. I believe that the last DAY will be a "declarative" judgement. IT is NOT a parable in Matthew 25, but a prophecy of what WILL take place. I believe that we were judged at the cross in CHRIST for sin, for judgement, and our sins were dealt with, but on this Last Day, it seems to be a declarative judgement for the ELECT, but is this also the white throne judgement for the reprobate. I need clarification.

Hello again Monty.

Jesus Christ came to this earth to save His people and He certainly accomplished this.

He did not TRY and save men if only they would let him.

When Jesus said: "it is finished" it TRULY was.

Matthew 1:21
..and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he SHALL save HIS PEOPLE from their sins.

Please read this excellent article which clearly explains that the bible teaches that Christ death was efficacious to ALL whom He represented.

http://savedbyhisblood.wordpress.com/2009/08/02/particular-redemption/

The bible does indeed teach that God hates the reprobate.
But please do not confuse this hatred with the sinful hatred that men express towards one another.

Psalm 5:5
The foolish shall not stand in thy sight: thou hatest all workers of iniquity.

and...

Psalm 11:5
The LORD trieth the righteous: but the wicked and him that loveth violence his soul hateth.

Psalm 11:6
Upon the wicked he shall rain snares, fire and brimstone, and an horrible tempest: this shall be the portion of their cup.

Also read Romans chapter 9.

I thought He died even for the reprobate, if so, how could he hate them ?

I know you will tell me he didn't die for them just the "elect", but this again is hard to believe that an all loving God who he himself is love, would hate one of his creation.

Hi Monty,

God doesn't send anyone to hell whom he loves.

He sends those whom he hates to hell, these are the reprobate.

There is no such thing as "free will", man is totally depraved spiritually and God is on the throne and in control of everything, not man.

I have believed all my life as you do but,
I must say, I hope you are wrong. I am having a hard time imagining a God who would send a depressed suicide victim, per say, to hell, since he was so down and out on life. Moments before that person killed themseleves, God loved him more than anything. Then a moment later "allowed" him to pass into eternal darkness. What happened to that unfailing love ? Please dont give me the free will speech. Ive heard it all my life. It just does not make any sense with the character of God. I am only now beginning to hope I have been taught incorrectly. I only now hope to find a God to serve that I love so much and not one that I serve, since I fear him so much....

Good to see a sermon by John Vinall.
John Vinall was minister of Jireh Chapel, Lewes, Sussex and Providence Chapel, brighton, Sussex. He was also occassional minister of Providence Chapel, Chirchester, Sussex. Jireh Chapel is still open for the preaching of the everlasting Gospel.
John Vinall's Sermons are still in print and available from Gospel Mission Books, Choteau, Montana - see their web page

He did!

You missunderstand Mr Kay.

He is not saying that his salvation is conditioned on the Holy Spirit's work in him, but that without this, he would not know if he was elect, that is why he says "manifestive of my own election and redemption".

Kay - "The more am I brought feelingly, sensibly, and in submissive hearkening to rest my everlasting salvation on unconditional eternal election and particular redemption, on the one hand; and on the Spirit’s work in me, on the other hand, manifestive of my own election and redemption."

According to this: Kay's 'salvation' seems to rest upon the so-called 'doctrines of grace' on the one hand; and on a subjective work of the 'Spirit' on the other hand?

Odd! For some reason, I thought that CHRIST saved His people, when He died for them on the cross?

Thank you for this article - I have really wanted to get a tattoo in the past and really struggled with that passage in Leviticus. Temptation is hard to deal with but reading your piece made me think of when Jesus says He only does what the Father tells him (sorry I can't remember the exact reference) - and God is definitely not telling me to get a tattoo, so there is no reason for me to get one. I must confess I used to tell myself that a tattoo could help me witness to God, but I can see that actually it would just show non-Christians how little I respect God and His words. Thanks again.

When I hear someone - anyone - Christian or not - say "OMG" or any other sinful use of the Lord's name, I let them know how offensive that is, and I urge others to do the same. Be bold!

I might say, "You know you can't use the Lord's name in vain in front of me, it bothers me too much" or "Please don't use the Lord's name in that way" or "I know you were raised Catholic and you know the Third Commandment" (which always leads to a discussion because they rarely remember what the Third Commandment is!).

The good news is that speaking up really convicts a person, whether or not they are Christian. We need to speak up, we need to be "activists" for Christ!

I have known for a long time that the NIV was suspect but I
didn't know where the false teaching was or where the NIV
version originated from. Thank you for giving me the facts so I can pass that information on to other believers.
It is a constant battle to find the truth amongst all the perversions that the Catholic Church has snuck into the Church of God.

referring to article 30, why didn't Mary recognize Jesus at the tomb and why didn't the 2 disciples on the road to Emmaus recognize Jesus at once? How was it Jesus could walk through walls?. How was it He was raised up in the clouds? Paul says our bodies will be changed because flesh and blood cannot inherit the Kingdom of God. 1Cor 15: 50-52.
Have I misunderstood your wording?

This is such good meat! Thank you.
I was praying and the Lord impressed upon my heart in this day and age most Christians are trying to fit Jesus Christ into their world instead of us fitting into HIS kingdom. ( I'm not a good writer, so forgive me if you cannot follow what I am trying to say) I am trying to echo we must stop trying to clothe ourselves in our own righteousness and like you said, allow Jesus to forever perfect us in His. You beautifully scripted (directed by the Holy Spirit) exactly what the Lord was telling me. Thanks be to our Father and Lord Jesus Christ.

Hello Cindy.

Judging by your comment I am led to believe that you haven't read, watched or listened to ANYTHING on my websites.

YOU WROTE:
I just want to make sure I understand….no matter how much WE want to be saved and recognize our sin, our need for a savior, how horrible the way of the world is, we will not go to heaven to be with the Lord unless He wills it.

MY REPLY:

NO, NOT AT ALL!

Jesus said:

John 6:37
All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out.

Look who is speaking here, it is Jesus, Almight God who cannot lie. Those who the Father give to Jesus (the elect) WILL come to Jesus and he who does will NOT be cast away but accepted.

But there are people who do not want the real Jesus, they will not have this Jesus, the one who only died for His sheep.

They will invent their own idol in their minds and call him "jesus".

Only those who come to the REAL Jesus will be saved.

Thank you for clear Biblical teaching that clears away all
confusion. Yes, I've often wondered how can the Lord's return be like "just as in the days of Noah etc" and at the same time like a major war " Armageddon." Very comforting and enlightening. May God bless your work.

Hello fellow beleiver,

I agree with all that was stated in your article. I do however have one question. In your article you stated

"The prophecy and the Book are interchangeably used, indicating that the prophecy of Revelation is an integral part of the Bible, and the Bible is the Book that contains all these prophecies from God. Always the entire Book is in view, because the Bible is One Book. "

Honestly, we you read that passage in revelations it seems clear to me that he is referring to the book of Revelations especially since this was no compiled or canonized Bible at the time so it seems that He could not have been referring to the actual Bible as it did not exist in it's form that you are referring to.

Now to me the principle still applies do not add or take from God's word at all but in context of the passage it seems that He is explicitly referring to the writings in Revelations.

Any thoughts?

Another very good article.Unfortunately the "unity in experience" poison has gone beyond fringe christian groups and well and truly found its way into mainstream protestant churches. The best deception is one that resembles 95% truth ,but its the 5% error that really does the damage.Iknow of so many christians who are hoping to sleepwalk their way into heaven and just ignore warnings of false and deceptive teachings, or fob it off as fundamentalism. Ioften wonder if we are experiencing satans loosing now when i look around and witness the rubbish that goes on in the name Christ,or will things get even worse. Thanks guys for posting this material,i find it very encouraging to be able to connect with others with similar values and understanding.God bless

I apreciate this article, and agree with it, thanks for writing it.
however, i wanted to point out, just for the sake of correct facts that leopards are only about 2 feet high at the shoulder, making them almost half the size of a full grown lion. Having grown up in africa and seen them first hand, its just a little fact that i noticed as being not quite right. While 2 feet high is big for a cat (compared to a house cat) its still smaller then a lion.
Thanx.

Hi Rhonda.

I am pleased that you are learning alot of biblical truth from these articles that I put on the website.
Here is the answer to your question.

In Isaiah 49 we find that the first 10 verses make up the 8th Servant Song, and it is a song that entirely refers to the Lord Jesus Christ.

We read in Isaiah 49:3, “And Jehovah said unto me, Thou art my servant, O Israel, in whom I will be glorified.”

This says plainly that Christ is called “Israel”. But if you still doubt that this is the right interpretation, then please turn to the ‘Gospel According to Matthew’, and read the 14th verse of chapter 2. We have here the event of the flight of Joseph and Mary and the baby Jesus into Egypt, for Herod he king intended to kill the baby Jesus. Then we read in Matthew 2:14-15,

Matthew 2:14
When he arose, he took the young child and his mother by night, and departed into Egypt:

Matthew 2:15
And was there until the death of Herod: that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying, Out of Egypt have I called my son.

Where is that found in the prophets, “Out of Egypt have I called my son”?

We find in Hosea 11:1,

Hosea 11:1
When Israel was a child, then I loved him, and called my son out of Egypt.

This verse does not refer to the nation of Israel which was taken out of Egypt at the time of the Exodus, but according to Matthew 2:15 this refers to the Lord Jesus Christ, who is here called “Israel”. And so, we have double proof that the Lord Jesus is also called “Israel”. And thus, when we read in 2 Chronicles 7:14, “my people, which are called by my name”, we must understand that Jehovah in 2 Chronicles 7:14 gives Himself the name “Israel”. This also gives further support to the notion that the Lord Jesus Christ is Jehovah. And if Christ is called Israel, then all those who are “in Christ” are also called Israel.

This was taken from an article written By Alfred Chompff on this website called: "All The Heathen" which can be found here:

Hello Rebecca.

If you are in Christ ofcourse God has forgiven you.

Psalm 103:12
As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us.

You were correct when you said that hurting people is sinful, that is not adding to the bible.

Hello... please help me out. I'm scared that I might have added to the bible. I told my sister once that hurting people is sinful, but then I realized that the bible doesn't say such a thing. I then corrected myself, but I still feel like I added to the bible. Another time, I accidentally made up a fake bible story in my head. Am I going to die just because of these? I've begged God for forgiveness and mercy. Please write back!

My attention was caught by a snippit I read about our being the bride of Christ the adultery is not merely a sin against a spouse but against God as well. Christ also said if any man looks on his neighbors wife he has committed adultery. I recently published a book concerning that and the repercussions and repentence the man went through. My thought though is, in reference to sinning against God, what constitutes "looking at another god". The first two commandments say to love Him only and not to make an idol to worship. I would see making an idol to worship along the same lines as committing the physical form of adultery. So, what would be "looking at an idol". I haven't come to a conclusion yet, but thought it would be worth blogging. Thank you for your time.

I have read most of Tony Warren's works and have found them (Eschatology especially) to be very good. I am of the Baptist faith, but do not go by that name. We have met in home and in small groups here and there.

I just came across this site and have not read very much. But there are names that I know well that I saw on this site and have read many books by many of them over the last thirty fours plus years.

I have some works: 2Thess. 2-"the man of sin" and Matt. 24; etc. Letters of debates with ministers, etc. Many chapters on Revelation from Idealist or spiritualist view point.

Do you know of other sites that I may visit?

May the Lord be please to bless all that is done for his glory alone, the Lord be with you.

Do you see what I’m getting at?

My Response:

Yes, I understand what you are saying and it is not biblical at all.

EJ said:

suppose I am predestined to Hell, but still (1) want to be saved, (2) plead His blood and righteousness alone as the only grounds of my salvation, and (3) put no trust in my own works. Is it possible that, in spite of the presence of these Scriptural responsibilities (of the one to be saved that I could still be lost?

My Answer:

It is not possible for a pleading sinner to come to God and plead the blood and righteousness of Christ alone as their only hope and put no trust in their works and be a reprobate.

Jesus said: "He who believes not shall be damned".

Those who die in their sins "believe not".

It is not possible for a person to come to Christ and be rejected.

Thus, the one who comes to Christ and says:

"I trust in nothing more and nothing less,
than Jesus' blood and righteousness,
On Christ the solid rock I stand,
All other ground is sinking sand."

has been drawn of God, and is born again. Such a person can rejoice in the fact that they are one of God's elect, eternally loved by the Father.

thank you for your response... if I may push, allow me to delve further... suppose I am predestined to Hell, but still (1) want to be saved, (2) plead His blood and righteousness alone as the only grounds of my salvation, and (3) put no trust in my own works. Is it possible that, in spite of the presence of these Scriptural responsibilities (of the one to be saved that I could still be lost?
Is it possible to be predestined to be an unbeliever in spite of my "right actions" of John 6:47? Has The Father not chosen any who choose to believe? What qualifies them, His choosing them, or them choosing His Son?
Your response seems to dictate a responsibility on behalf of the one to be saved, yet your 2nd Scriptural reference points to the Father as the catalyst.
What if one is tired and weary from the battlefield of trials and the enduring of the cross of persecution and the devil attacks him on the grounds of doubting whether he were actually, truly predestined? Do you see what I'm getting at?
Truth is the way to contend with the lies of the devil, and I have to say, It has made me free, indeed. Knowing that I had a part to play in no way disrupts the sovereignty of God ( He chose me, according to His foreknowledge of me choosing Him) and at the same time empowered me to strike the devil so hard he reeled back whimpering like a wounded puppy! YES I HAVE BEEN PREDESTINED! THERE'S NO NEED TO DOUBT MY SALVATION BECAUSE THE WORD SAYS GOD IS LOVE!
